abandoned buildings in sydney
so guys, were are some old abandoned buildings in and around Sydney
Don't limit yourself to factories, lets think schools, hospitals/nursing homes, houses, anything!
I thought considering that our photo shoot themes often are on the dark side a thread like this might be handy.
Also I have no idea, I cant tell you a whole list of places in melbourne but that's no fun for you guys now is it!
So tell me

The old iron works at Lithgow are spectacular. But you have to guerrilla shoot anything other than from the outside.

Re: abandoned buildings in sydney
i went for a walk around where i live (the northern beaches) yesterday and there is this abandoned derelict house on the headland overlooking pure ocean surrounded on all sides by mansions - beautiful juxtaposition - it obviously had floor to ceiling windows once but now they are just big holes with just a cliff drop outside..rotting wood and cracked brick.

Now that does sound like fun. Do you happen to know the address, I'd love to google street view it!

Re: abandoned buildings in sydney
the old TAFE building at Seaforth near Manly hasnt been used in almost 10years.
but the last time i went in there a few years back the alarm system was still active in the hallways and the grounds are MEANT to be closed up but u can still get in pretty easy for a (what was it???) guerilla shoot....

There is a terrace house on the main street in Brighton le sands next to the Novotel hotel that looks abandoned but I didn't get a chance to try and get inside...next time!
