Props, locations etc etc
Hi peoples,
As before - I have a White Nurses Dress available (Size 8-10) for anyone who'd like to use it for whatever reason.
Also as I'm sure some people are living with their parents or share houses. I've got my own house with a huuugggeee backyard so if ever anyone needs to use a kitchen or bathroom or backyard for a shoot - let me know and I'll be happy to help

Now that's planning! So does it go like this?
"Umm can I use your bathroom please?"
And when you get back .....
"Nice bathroom ... mind if we take some photos in there?"
Awesome idea ..... I'm sure you guys will produce magic shots!

50s Diner Props
Ok girls, this will be fun....blackbeetle and I have been talking and think it might be easier for us to re-create a 50s Diner in studio for my shoot rather than running around trying A) to find one and B) to get access to it...
...in her absence I want to try and suss out what we have in the way of set dressing so most of the hard work is done once she feels up to coming back onboard!
SO! what i need from you is ANYTHING i can borrow that you think will fit in a 50s diner:
I have:
- A Betty Boop tea set and multiple Betty Boop pictures to put on the 'wall'
- Old school metal milkshake tumblers
- two red leather 'saddle' stools though I'd rather the red ROUND bar stools if anyone has any that can be transported
I need things like:
- something that can act as a bar
- jukebox (ive been looking at little minature ones on ebay - they used to have small ones on each booth table back then so if you have a jukebox alarm clock maybe?)
- a 50s style mirror (colours will be primarily red, white, black and pink)
- any kitsch 50s style stuff you think will fit
Im also looking at buying the little pink collared waitress' outfit from ebay but they are expensive...if anyone has anything suitable please let me know, Bras and Things sell a PERFECT Miss Massusse dress, BB has one but thinks it will be too big for me (im a size 10).
go hunting girls!!!
^_^

Shadow Faerie,
Just a few ideas for you (as I'm just in love with the 50's)
Here are a few thoughts as to what you can add to your shoot:
Posters of convertables, hotrods (pretty uch anything with whitewall wheels) etc
Also posters of people such as Jane Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe etc will add to the atmosphere you are trying to create.
Doorags (bandanas) and some vintage glasses are easy to obtain (doorag at tree of life for $4.50, and glasses $25 at Slims Vintage at Newtown) I think I was wearing the glasses on Sunday and they have a wide range of colors there.
Also if you're looking for random things try Faster PussyCat in Newtown and further down the road is a Vintage/ Retro Second hand Furniture etc place. There are also many places in Newtown to get wicked stuff that's 50's inspired.
I hope this helps.
