berryblade wrote:I'm thinking I really want to do a Courtney Love meets Vogue sort of thing. Heroin chic (okay, so without the actual heroin part), or something nerdy inspired like dressing up as Sam Carter from Stargate SG1 or Lara Croft. In fact, I'd probably do both!
I wanna do a group shoot, or even a duo shoot with someone that isn't necessarily a pin up or blood and guts thing either. Hell - if there are any other veg*ns on here, then I'd love to do something inspired by that - not sure what yet.
Hi all by the way
I fkn love stargate!

berryblade wrote:For the vegan idea use lots and lots of VEGIES!! just everywhere, maybe even a sort of gritty vege farmer type thing.
Oh yes! That would be really awesome, I'm well into that idea. I was thinking of that or maybe going down to this place called the cuddly animal farm (the cutest place ever) and doing something based around that ;o)
Now I just gotta find people in Perth who will be willing to help out.
i'm a vegan...and in perth
and i've already talked to you partially about this but, just not on here
but yeah.
it sounds like the best idea everrr.
because i've always wanted to do a vegan inspired shoot!

Re: Photoshoot Ideas
I am a photographer and recently discovered the abandoned mental hospital for the criminally insane in Morisset NSW. Here one pic from there:

...and a model shot I did from there as well:

I would love to shoot there again sometime. A horror theme would work brilliantly there.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Photoshoot Ideas
Exact location of that hospital in Morisset is here (this is the map I provided to models on my last shoot, so disregard my notes/times on the map):
http://maps.google.com.au/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=103979257552069036656.0004520295ddd5d0d5142&t=h&z=16
Highly recommended - you could easily spend a whole day shooting there. I should also mention that the dirt road in is 4WD access only but you can walk it from the nearest sealed road in about 10 - 15 mins.
Would be a good spot for a group meet - models & photographers. A weekday would be best as you usually have it to yourself (weekends are frequented by trail bike riders and four wheel drivers etc).
Cheers,
Mark

im thinkin of doing like a cannibal theme (haha ANTM gave me inspiration ) like, covered in blood and bruises, scars that type of thing (god i was thinkin of you as my mua too lmao) ... only one thing i not sure of.. should i have like, body parts around me.. but where should i get them?? lmao AHAHA
ruby
as a last resort sex stores always sell limb dildos that are life size, like arms and legs!
eeeek
There are so many wonderful themes that have already been thought of and approved I'm really struggling to come up with something original.
I had a thought of a 'halloween' theme but I think it comes dangerously close to some other ideas.

Re: Photoshoot Ideas
So i sorta mentioned this as a joke yesterday at the shoot, but after more thought i was thinking about a "Birds of Feather" themed shoot, you wouldn't necessarily have to be wearing wings and chirping BUT if we could incorporate a few feathers into hair/make up that's inspired by exotic birds and then just some really different artistic poses
but lots of colour, very arty.

rocky horror picture show
yes, so i mentioned yesterday that i had the idea of a group shot based around rocky horror..
and i just had another thought.. maybe this would be a good group shot for the calender shoot?? for december i mean.. maybe loosely base it around chrissy or something.. just a thought.

Thanks
i think it could even work as a single model shoot rather than a group one.
it would be a long day with make up etc, but alot of fun
OR have like 2-3 models would be pretty awesome.

Re: Photoshoot Ideas
i'd really like to do it in a studio though.
i know of one in alexandria that charges $330 for a whole day + about $160 for lighting hire, so if we get the money together we could do that OR
maybe a garden somewhere.. the botannical gardens cost ALOT so that would be out of the question but maybe there's somewhere else.
actually.. cumberland forest in around the corner from my house and even though it's bushland it's still very green and would look great as a backdrop for heaps of colour
