Kris, you could do something with a big marquee, get a box type venue look going on
So that it looks like you are watching it all from the rich box :p

well if you shoot on a plain white background the racecourse could be added in post production.
all we need is a few different photo's of it. Maybe a trip to a race meet just to photograph the grandstand!

i think if you have an over the top hat too there will be an air of melbourne cup

my wolfman whoot will more than likely be in a cemetray .... just totally add to the creepiness!!!

I'm still looking for a special fx MUA, Ben will be doing Bec's makeup, just looking for a spec fx artist ...any suggestions????

yeah Jem, i just remember the HAT of course ahahah that will totally make it!

we'll see but this studio idea is looking more promising than getting permission to shoot at the raceway...but i'll still ring just in case!

HOLY HELL Randwick Racecourse want $350 PER HOUR for three of us to shoot my Melbourne Cup theme...let me hear one big......FUCK THAT!!
Rosehill sounded positive but they havent called back yet, all else fails i dont see why it wouldnt work in studio with some of you guys. Its going to be very 'conventional' Melbourne Cup summer dress style, but all in electric blue! (borrowing a friends dress and hopefully a friends hat!)

heyy if that fails, try ringing a local trots club that has a racetrack, i kno there's a few around.. They may be a lot nicer about it lol

Yeah you can totally do it in a studio and location! decide on the angle of shot then Get the photographer to sneak into the racecourse, take a few snaps from that angle and height then replicate them in studio and deep-etch your shots onto the background! presto!

i just got approval from canterbury/rosehill racecourse to shoot there for free so problem solved!!! we're thinking about taking some old school rocking horses and putting them in the background, making it a bit quirky! ahhaha
